Helping Keep the Essex Way Clear and Accessible
Recently, our Community Caretakers spent time clearing vegetation and cutting back overgrowth along sections of Essex Walk. Work also focused on clearing the path edges, helping to widen the walking route and make it easier for everyone to enjoy.
Regular maintenance like this is essential, particularly during the growing season when plants can quickly encroach onto paths and reduce accessibility. By clearing the side areas of the route, volunteers help improve visibility, create a safer walking environment, and protect the path surface from becoming hidden by vegetation.
